Causes of Hyper-pigmentation - Hyperpigmentation involves the over-activity of melanocytes (tanning cells) that produce pigment. The melanocytes become hyper-productive due to UV exposure, heat, injury and irritation or hormonal stimulation. Nutrition deficiency or prescription drugs can also cause hyper-pigmentation.

A lightweight gel formulated with the combination of 10% glycolic acid and 2% hydroquinone to provide a highly effective treatment for skin lightening. Specifically designed to exfoliate dead skin cells while reducing age spots, freckles, hyper-pigmentation. pH 3.7 - 4.7

Lightening Gel 10 for works by inhibiting tyrosinase, the enzyme responsible for the conversion of tyrosine to L-dopa. This process decreases the skin's ability to create melanin, thereby making it more difficult for the hyperpigmentation reaction to occur.
